Why am I getting a 404 Error?

A 404 error on the website means the page cannot be found.

Screenshot 2024-07-30 at 2.37.16 PMThis can be caused by a number of reasons. Some of the most common reasons are:

  • The url is typed incorrectly
  • The page you were trying to view has been moved or deleted
  • You do not have permission to view the page

We do our best to prevent these errors from appearing. If you do find a 404 error when clicking a link on the site and you can confirm there isn't a typo, please reach out to our support team and we can find out what is going on. They can be contacted through the form on this page here!

404 when viewing a MyList link

When viewing a MyList the rules above apply as well. If the list has been deleted the link will always get a 404 error.

There are also 2 cases where you will get a 404 error page, even if nothing is wrong. Attempting to view a list with it's visibility setting set to Private will result in a 404 error if you are signed into a different account than the one who created it, or if you use a student code that is not associated to to the correct teacher account. If you change the visibility setting to Shareable the 404 error should no longer appear.
